About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction & Commercial Director to lead our construction program in the Eastern region. This role is crucial in ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a clear strategy for operational delivery across both commercial and construction functions.
- Prepare detailed construction budgets, project plans, and schedules.
- Monitor costs and progress closely, providing timely reports to stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate the team to achieve budget targets while ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience at a senior level within the housebuilding industry, with expertise in either commercial or construction functions.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial activities, including surveying, estimating, and procurement.
- A relevant construction, surveying, or technical degree (HND minimum).
- Strong understanding of current building regulations, construction methods, and products.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
