Nursing Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Practitioner to join our Community Nursing team in Bedfordshire. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in their own homes.
Main ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for working corporately within our Primary Care Team, supporting Community Nurses and the wider MDT to provide excellent care to housebound residents with complex health conditions. Your duties will include:
- Providing high-quality care to patients, including wound care, continence care, and health coaching
- Managing a caseload of patients, prioritizing work, and working in a time-managed and effective way
- Supporting clients, carers, and family members during times of emotional distress
- Undertaking frequent standing, kneeling, crouching, hoisting, and other moving and handling procedures
Our Trust is committed to offering excellent training, personal development programs, and supportive coaching to enhance your skills and career development. You will have regular supervision, mentorship, and support from within the Primary Care Team and the Trust.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- ONVQ III or equivalent qualification
- GCSE Maths or equivalent
- Diploma level relevant qualification or equivalent experience
- Good experience of working with community healthcare teams
- Experience of working with people on curative and palliative pathways
- Experience of working with people with physical health requirements
- Experience of managing a caseload of patients
- Ability to prioritize work and work in a time-managed and effective way
- Comprehensive clinical skills, including venepuncture, Doppler, wound care, and continence care
