About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Finance Assistant to join our team at Ardent. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial operations and ensuring the smooth running of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Management Accountant in preparing financial reports and statements
  • Process transactions, including sales invoices and purchase invoices
  • Set up and maintain projects in our financial system
  • Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Approve and post expenses, including credit card transactions
  • Ensure accurate and timely employee data updates in our system
  • Prepare supplier and expense runs
  • Liaise with the Management Accountant to ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end tasks
  • Respond to ad-hoc queries and provide general support to the Finance Director, Management Accountant, and Project Accountant
  • Monitor and respond to queries sent to the team inbox
Requirements
  • Studying towards AAT or CIMA/ACCA qualification (study support can be provided)
  • At least one year of experience in a finance role (or similar)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
  • Good Excel skills
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop in a varied role
