Job Overview

Skilled Careers is seeking a highly experienced Site Manager to lead the delivery of a brand new development of 250 units in a major UK House Building project.

You will be a dedicated, persistent, inquisitive, with exacting standards and a wealth of experience as a No1 Site Manager in House Building.

Responsibilities:

  • Site Compliance: Ensure compliance on site, adhering to company policies and industry regulations.
  • Resource Management: Co-ordinate labour and resources on site to optimize productivity and efficiency.
  • Material Control: Manage material levels on site to minimize stock levels and reduce waste.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all plots are built to the highest standard of quality, undertaking company directed quality control procedures and inspections.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and control the cost of production, and approve payment to contractors and trades where appropriate.
  • Plot Inspections: Initiate and attend plot inspections with the Local Building Inspector or NHBC, taking corrective action to ensure a minimum of RI's/BRI's. Conduct toolbox talks or similar on-site briefings.
  • Collaboration: Liaise proactively with other internal departments, external suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved.
  • Customer Delivery: Work with sales through regular sales/build meetings to ensure a smooth and controlled delivery of homes for customers.
  • Site Presentation: Deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times.

Requirements:

  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to consistently deliver weekly targets through good organisation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator, with an emphasis on explaining detail and gaining full compliance.
  • Leadership and Assertiveness: Demonstrated good leadership and assertive skills to ensure optimum delivery to the highest quality standards on site.
  • Experience: Extensive experience of working to an established build programme and managing key priorities.
  • Qualifications: Valid CSCS, SMSTS, First Aid, Scaffold Inspection etc

Benefits:

  • Competitive Salary: Basic of between £60,000 - £70,000
  • Car Allowance: £5,000
