This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has expertise in providing assistance with the design and approach for Appointed Representatives (ARs) combined with overseeing the diligence review of all AR/IAR firms within the UK&I Retail Pillar to meet regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the diligence review of all AR/IAR firms within the UK&I Retail Pillar to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Liaise directly with stakeholders to discuss and investigate questions arising from due diligence.
  • Contribute to the overall compliance report/annual report to the Board, drafting relevant sections and ensuring that any clarification questions or required remedial actions are flagged with an appropriate level of clarity and prominence.
  • Drive forward the completion of agreed oversight interactions, through direct activity or through stakeholder management, to ensure that all businesses meet common standards.
Requirements:
  • Strong UK regulatory technical knowledge and experience of ARs in the insurance sector.
  • Strong knowledge of FCA requirements specifically relating to general insurance products within ICOBs & PS22/11 relating Appointed Representatives.
  • Practical knowledge of the key compliance policies/procedures/frameworks expected of an FCA regulated insurance intermediary.
