Overview

Sanderson is looking for a skilled and motivated Data Product Manager to enhance our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development and oversight of data-centric products within the organization. Your responsibilities will include establishing the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, while prioritizing features and improvements based on user requirements and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Articulate and share the vision and strategy for data products, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry trends.
  • KPI Trees and Data Dictionary: Create KPI trees, define metrics, and develop a thorough data dictionary.
  • Data Governance: Guarantee that data products comply with data governance standards and best practices, upholding data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate and analyze the performance of data products, leveraging metrics and user feedback to foster ongoing enhancements.
  • Roadmap Development: Construct and sustain a product roadmap, prioritizing features and improvements based on user insights, business impact, and technical viability.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with diverse teams, including data scientists, engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, to gather requirements, define product features, and ensure effective delivery.

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience as a Product Owner in a data-focused environment.
  • Deep understanding of data analytics, management, and governance.
  • Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities, capable of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to convert business needs into technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or a related discipline is preferred.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
  • Understanding of cloud services, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with tools like Alteryx or Databricks.
