Job Overview

As an Apprentice Manufacturing Specialist at Leonardo, you will be part of a structured training scheme designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to manufacture and test complex world-leading products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Learn core technician skills through on-the-job training and problem-solving
  • Undertake a series of placements covering all aspects of manufacture, including electromechanical assembly, electro optic assembly, electronic test, optical test, and inspection
  • Develop skills in specialized areas, such as soldering, additive manufacturing, and welding
  • Work collaboratively with a team of in-house experts to support your development and become part of a community of apprentices working in Leonardo, throughout the UK

Requirements

  • Ability to work with hands and attention to detail
  • Diligence to work with complicated build instructions and documentation
  • Keenness to learn and develop professionally
  • Genuine interest and passion for engineering and solving technical issues
  • Previous experience with engineering processes is preferred but not essential

Starting Salary

The starting salary for this role is £17,000.
