Job Title: Agile Operations Analyst

Mercuria is seeking a highly skilled Agile Operations Analyst to join our EMEA Financial Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day functions within Operations, as well as be involved in a wide variety of projects and process enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reconcile trade bookings and amendments across various commodities, escalating any discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
  2. Generate, review, and process confirmations for OTC trades, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  3. Submit trades for REMIT reporting and monitor for any breaks, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  4. Develop and maintain expertise in Brokerage and Broker rate agreements, ensuring seamless execution.
  5. Review KPIs daily to ensure aged items and outstanding issues are resolved in a timely manner, driving process improvements.
  6. Prioritize and escalate all risk items where appropriate, demonstrating a proactive approach to risk management.
  7. Maintain various Emissions Registries and lead the setup required for new registries around the world, showcasing technical expertise.
  8. Collaborate closely with multiple teams within the organization and across multiple locations, fostering strong relationships and effective communication.
  9. Analyze and develop team procedures in line with market requirements, driving process efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Setup and maintain static data in various systems, understanding the impact and flow downstream and upstream, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Requirements:

  1. 3+ years' experience in financial operations and commodities, with excellent numerical and Excel skills.
  2. Strong system skills, particularly in Openlink/Endur.
  3. Previous exposure to European Power, European Gas & Emissions is a must.
  4. Experience in monitoring workflow by reliance on Risk Systems.
  5. Experience in REMIT reporting preferred.
  6. Able to work independently without direct supervision, but also comfortable working in a team on projects.
  7. Committed to resolving issues until they are fully addressed.
  8. Project ownership and delivery experience.
