About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Commissioning and Contract Officer to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our Adults' Services Commissioning Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring good quality, affordable care is available for all our residents.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for working proactively to develop relationships with providers and other professionals to ensure services are responsive and meet needs. This will involve supporting the implementation of commissioning plans and contract management processes to improve quality and outcomes for individuals, achieve value for money, and ensure the best use of resources.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent literacy and numeracy skills, as well as good analytical skills to interpret complex information. You will also need to be able to communicate effectively with a range of partners and stakeholders, and have the ability to work on your own initiative and make informed decisions.
Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for candidates with a HNC or equivalent qualification, or experience demonstrating a similar level of numeracy, literacy, and communication skills. You will also need to have experience of working in a public sector commissioning and contracts setting, and some knowledge of community-based social and health care services and regulation.
