About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning and Contract Officer to join our team at West Sussex County Council. As a key member of our Adults Commissioning Service, you will play a vital role in ensuring that people can access appropriate and good quality services that enable them to live their lives as independently as possible.

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for working proactively with providers and other professionals to ensure services are responsive and meet the needs of our residents. This will involve developing relationships, implementing commissioning plans, and managing contracts to improve quality and outcomes for individuals, achieve value for money, and ensure the best use of resources.

Person Specification

We are looking for someone with experience of providing support in a public sector commissioning and contracts setting, as well as some knowledge of community-based social and health care services and regulation. You will also need to have strong communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively, and a keen eye for detail. Additionally, you will need to be able to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and partners.
