Job Title: Finance Clerk

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Clerk to join our team. As a Finance Clerk, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team with various administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process income and expenditure transactions, payments to external panel tutors, and monitor outstanding debtors for the Institute's programmes and commercial activity at Madingley Hall.
  • Assist in the administration of accounts and maintain financial records within the Institute of Continuing Education.
  • Support a busy finance office with tasks such as processing accounts receivable income from commercial Hall operations, panel tutor payments through the University Payments System, and monitoring Hall debtors.
  • Contribute to other duties suitable for the grade and ensure the finance office is covered during periods of leave.
Requirements:
  • GCSE level education.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in work.
  • Effective communication skills with a range of colleagues across the Institute.
Working Environment:

The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager and Finance Co-ordinator in a busy finance office environment. The role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
