About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the Mass General Cancer Center at Cooley Dickinson Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide patient-centered care to individuals with cancer, focusing on chemotherapy administration, patient education, care planning, symptom management, and coordination of outpatient services.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with cancer, adhering to ANA and ONS standards of care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting informed decision-making and empowerment.
  • Coordinate outpatient services, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of cancer care and patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Minimum of one to two years of experience in ambulatory oncology, with a strong foundation in cancer care principles.
  • Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
  • Oncology Nurse certification (OCN) required within two years of hire or after reaching 2,000 hours of oncology nursing practice.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to practice independently and as a team member.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
