Position: Cost Estimator - Specialist Dry Lining Contractor (Hybrid Working)

About the Role:
We are seeking Intermediate to Senior Level Cost Estimators who will report directly to the Commercial Manager. The successful candidates will manage projects valued up to £5 million, specifically in Dry Lining, Metsec, and Suspended Ceiling Packages. This role presents an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor that values career development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities in collaboration with architects and clients.
  • Assisting in defining client requirements and conducting feasibility assessments.
  • Implementing risk and value management alongside cost control measures.
  • Providing advice on procurement strategies.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and developing strategies to mitigate commercial risks.
  • Preparing and evaluating cost estimates for tenders.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Allocating tasks to subcontractors.
  • Pricing variations and submitting valuations.
  • Managing final accounts.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years' experience with a reputable dry lining contractor. A degree qualification is preferred. Most importantly, candidates must demonstrate trustworthiness, reliability, and a strong desire to advance their careers. A highly motivated individual and a strong team player, with a consistent employment record, is essential.
