About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Planner to join our team at Hunter Dunning Ltd, a leading consultancy firm in the UK. As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in providing expert advice on planning matters to our clients, preparing and submitting planning applications, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic planning advice to clients, ensuring compliance with local and national planning policies.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications, including conducting site visits and gathering necessary data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including architects, landscape architects, and heritage consultants, to deliver comprehensive planning solutions.
  • Identify and optimize new business opportunities, including cross-selling and upselling services to clients.
  • Stay up-to-date with local and national planning policy changes, ensuring our clients receive the best possible advice.
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Support the Associate Directors and Directors in driving business growth and delivering exceptional client service.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in planning, preferably in a consultancy or private sector environment.
  • Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • A full driving license and access to a vehicle.
