Key Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the primary healthcare team to ensure the provision of safe and effective nursing care to our patient population.

Candidates should ideally possess experience in primary care or managing chronic health conditions; however, we are open to providing training for the right individual.

Responsibilities Overview

Clinical Duties

- Collaborate and network closely with colleagues within the practice and other primary care professionals, referring patients as necessary.

- Ensure that evidence-based care is delivered to a high standard, providing expert clinical advice as appropriate.

- Participate in the audit process, evaluating services, implementing action plans, and making necessary changes to practice.

- Implement treatment interventions for patients with long-term conditions in accordance with practice protocols.

- Plan, coordinate, and execute immunization and vaccination programs in line with local or national guidelines.

- Engage in health screening activities, ensuring that targets are met.

Risk Management

- Demonstrate a clear understanding of risk management, including professional accountability and responsibility, to minimize risks and deliver safe healthcare.

- Monitor work areas to ensure they are safe and compliant with health, safety, and security regulations.

- Ensure the safe storage, rotation, and disposal of vaccines and medications.

- Apply infection control measures according to established guidelines.

Communication Skills

- Ensure effective communication with patients, particularly when providing and receiving complex, sensitive, or contentious information.

  • Registered General Nurse or Qualified Nursing Associate

Experience
