SF Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis for a 3-4 month assignment in Burton on Trent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the monthly financial close process to ensure timely and effective delivery of financial information.
- Prepare and submit month-end management accounts.
- Maintain the financial ledgers of the operating unit to support month-end reporting and ensure all accounts are reconciled and reviewed.
- Coordinate and support the Shared Service Team for month-end and reporting activities.
- Support Accounts Receivable activities and provide weekly cash forecasting.
- Prepare a monthly reporting pack to analyze and review variances between actuals and budget/forecast.
- Communicate overhead spend vs budget to budget holders on a monthly basis.
- Report on statutory accounts, VAT returns, National Statistics, and other reporting returns.
- Ensure compliance with group accounting policies and relevant statutory accounting standards (UK & US GAAP).
- Manage the Operating Unit's Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements.
- Manage the chart of accounts and cost centre structure of the Business.
Requirements:
This role is open to QBE, AAT, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA candidates. Candidates will have experience in presenting financial data, managing the external audit process, be performance-oriented, and hold excellent communication and IT skills, particularly in MS Office Applications.
