Overview
As a Youth Advocacy Specialist at Change Grow Live, you will deliver expert independent support to children and adolescents who wish to express concerns regarding their care or seek representation.
Your role will empower young individuals by facilitating their ability to voice their opinions or by advocating on their behalf, or both.
It is essential to ensure that the perspectives of the child are acknowledged and to assist them in pursuing a satisfactory resolution to any issues they may encounter.
Key Responsibilities
In your capacity as a Youth Advocacy Specialist, you will provide an Independent Advocacy Service for young people in the relevant areas, focusing on:
- Supporting young individuals from the age of 8 who are in the care of local authorities.
- Offering a visiting service to children with disabilities residing in care facilities and those in secure environments.
- Acting as an independent representative for secure panel reviews.
- Facilitating referrals for those experiencing homelessness.
Salary Range (pro rata if part-time)
Competitive salary based on experience.
Location Information
This position is outside the London Weighting Area.
