About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Child and Adolescent Volunteer Counsellor. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic support to young people who are struggling with drug and alcohol issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver therapeutic programmes to support young people in overcoming drug and alcohol addiction
  • Work closely with our team to provide a non-judgmental and supportive environment for young people to share their experiences and challenges
  • Accrue counselling hours towards future accreditation with BPS, BACP, or UKCP
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • Passion for working with young people and a commitment to their well-being
  • Positive attitude and a desire to learn and develop your skills
  • Non-judgmental and supportive approach towards young people facing problems with drugs and alcohol
  • Ability to work flexibly and commit to a six-month period where possible
