About the Role

Mencap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to join our team. As a Waking Night Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional support to individuals with a learning disability, enabling them to live a more comfortable, dignified, and liberated life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care, including supporting individuals to bed at their chosen time, conducting regular checks, and assisting with toileting as required.
  • Assist with light household tasks, such as ironing, cleaning, and updating digital systems, while individuals sleep.
  • Ensure the safety and security of the home environment.
  • Support individuals to maintain a clean and tidy living space.
  • Meet the health needs of individuals, ensuring their safety and well-being overnight.
