Job Summary

School Nurse Team Leader - Band 7

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking an experienced School Nurse Team Leader to join our team. As a key member of our School Health Service, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of School Nurses to deliver high-quality services to children and families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management

Lead the day-to-day management of a School Nursing team or teams within a locality, ensuring the delivery of a safe and effective School Health service.

Service Delivery

Be responsible for the delivery of the School Nursing service, providing expert information, assessments, and interventions for children, young people, and families, including those with complex needs.

Quality and Performance

Lead and monitor the quality and performance of the identified team, working with the Operational Lead for School Nursing to identify and address risks.

Locality Working

Facilitate and develop locality working groups within best practice standards, working collaboratively with colleagues to develop a cohesive and integrated locality team.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Experience of managing staff
  • Computer literate
  • Evidence of working with children, young people, and their families

Desirable

  • Knowledge of electronic records systems

Other

  • Car owner and driver
  • Can demonstrate a flexible approach to working

Knowledge and Awareness

  • Knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme
