Position: Procurement Coordinator
Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Compensation: Approximately £45,000 plus performance-based bonuses and comprehensive benefits package.

Overview:
Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing sector, is seeking a skilled Procurement Coordinator to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design, Production Control, and Assembly teams to ensure timely availability of components.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of manufactured parts, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality standards, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Engage with key suppliers to enhance their performance, competitiveness, and operational capabilities.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to elevate supplier capabilities through structured interventions and risk management plans.
- Assess supplier product designs and processes for adherence to company manufacturing standards and quality protocols.
- Ensure proactive follow-up on customer requests for parts.
- Communicate product and process issue analyses to the procurement engineering leader and product development team.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to define performance criteria and specifications for suppliers.
- Conduct Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and total cost assessments.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in component procurement, is essential.
- Strong computer skills are required.
- Familiarity with SAP Business 1 is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel within the UK to build relationships with suppliers.
- Ability to work remotely while being available for frequent travel to the UK offices for internal development as necessary.
