JOB PURPOSE:


The primary objective is to ensure the upkeep and repair of all above-ground sanitary fixtures and general plumbing within the facilities managed by City Facilities Management. Additionally, the role involves the maintenance and cleaning of all surface and foul water drainage systems to established standards, executed efficiently and cost-effectively while adhering to the company's Health and Safety protocols.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Represent the organization professionally at all times and foster positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

- Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules within designated timeframes, ensuring all documentation is accurately filled out according to established procedures.

- Respond promptly to service requests, assess job requirements, and perform necessary repairs as needed.

- Prioritize maintenance and repair tasks to meet agreed timelines and response expectations.

- Order necessary spare parts following company protocols.

- When required, procure essential materials and coordinate with relevant personnel to carry out repairs with minimal disruption.

- For irreparable sanitary fixtures or plumbing/drainage issues, recommend suitable replacements or alternatives to management.

- Attend team meetings as required.

- Conduct surveys and compile reports as requested by the Plumbing and Drainage Supervisor.

- Assist Plumbing and Drainage Engineers in various tasks when directed by the Supervisor.

- Ensure that all tools and equipment required for maintenance and repairs are available and in good working condition at all times.

- Supervise and monitor the work and attendance of Plumbing and Drainage Trainees to maintain quality standards and efficiency.

- Ensure all staff are knowledgeable about company practices and procedures related to plumbing and drainage systems.

- Participate in training sessions as necessary to keep skills current with industry developments.

- Adhere to the company's Health and Safety Policy and ensure compliance with environmental regulations at all times.

- Collaborate with colleagues to uphold established quality standards consistently.

- Comply with any reasonable requests or instructions from management.
