We are seeking a skilled Cargo Inspector to join our team at SGS United Kingdom Ltd. As a Cargo Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of shipments and performing measurements to determine accurate load/discharge/transfer quantities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform measurement activities, including visual observations, volumetric/temperature measurements, and representative sampling of petrochemical products.
  • Record and report results of measurement activities to determine accurate load/discharge/transfer quantities in compliance with industry practices.
  • Work as part of a 24/7, 365-day operational team to ensure all operations are covered in an effective and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Physical resilience and adaptability to perform often physically demanding outdoor work.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours as part of a 24/7, 365-day operational team.
  • Experience in the Oil and/or Chemical related industry, ideally with prior Inspection experience, or alternatively experienced working at sea in various capacities, or relevant science/nautical qualification and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Hold a full valid driving license for use in the UK.
