University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Procurement Support Coordinator to join our Clinical and Corporate Procurement Teams. This role will assist the Procurement Managers and Assistant Procurement Managers in various initiatives across sectors such as Medicine, Specialties, Facilities, Estates, and IT.
Utilizing your skills and commercial insight, you will contribute to the development of innovative strategies that support the organization in a cost-effective manner while adhering to governance standards and relevant regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently organizes and prioritizes your workload to ensure effective support is provided to procurement colleagues managing strategic sourcing for various departments.
- Coordinates the collection of quotations and assists with related tendering processes as necessary.
- Collaborates with colleagues and stakeholders to identify suitable suppliers and potential savings.
- Works alongside systems teams to analyze usage patterns and financial data related to product/service procurement.
- Conducts thorough evaluations and analyses of complex financial and procurement data obtained from supplier quotations and inquiries, offering procurement options and recommendations for stakeholder review.
- Responsible for drafting procurement agreements, recommendation reports, and selecting appropriate suppliers and products for purchase orders within designated areas.

Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Proficient keyboard skills for data entry with intermediate knowledge of software applications including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.

- Comprehensive knowledge of UK procurement law, its applications, and implications.
Qualifications

- Completion of Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) advanced certificate level, NVQ 3, or equivalent training and professional experience.
- Familiarity with UK public procurement legislation and contract law.
