Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Health and Safety Professional to join our team at Irwin and Colton - HSE Recruitment. As a key member of our infrastructure division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe delivery of major capital works projects within the water utilities sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough audits, inspections, and accident investigations to identify areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with key changes to legislation and ensure our organisation remains compliant.
  • Engage with senior managers, clients, and external stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are met.
  • Collaborate with staff and contractors to promote health and safety performance on a daily basis and support the delivery of objectives and targets.

Requirements:

  • A NEBOSH Certificate and ideally Tech IOSH status.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance, and regulations.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within utilities (preferably water) or in civil engineering.
