CBSbutler is seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriting Operations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting operations team, you will be responsible for monitoring and enhancing underwriting operations services and performance.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver the Underwriting Support Model to the Marine and Aviation underwriting teams, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Oversight of the performance of Underwriting Operations Technicians reporting to you, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional results.
- Conduct thorough end of year and mid-year performance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies for growth.
- Develop and deliver training programs for new joiners, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
- Monitor and analyze Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to inform business decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Daily monitoring of the Underwriting Operations Dashboard and central mailbox to stay informed and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure that tasks defined in the Underwriting Operations task list are transferred to Underwriting Operations away from the underwriting teams, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Group Head of Operations to deliver the Underwriting Support Model, including involvement in outsourcing, creation of procedure documents, and conducting training workshops for outsourced business partners.
- Perform general policy administration processing, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare materials and attend meetings as required by the Group Head of Operations, providing support and expertise as needed.
**Requirements**
- Proven experience as an underwriting operations assistant, ideally within the Lloyds market.
- Intermediate Excel and Word skills, with the ability to use an in-house underwriting management system.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team, with a track record of success.
