Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Underwriter/Senior Underwriter to join our Commercial PI team at Nexus Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality account underwriting and servicing of renewal and new business, working within underwriting parameters and authority levels.
  • Drive existing and new broker relationships by offering tailored and sustainable solutions.
  • Execute agreed business and action plans with brokers in terms of profitability, retention, and new business ratios.
  • Take ownership for underwriting decisions and highlight non-typical opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with brokers, insurers, and clients, including travel and entertainment.
  • Source new business and new opportunities, and be willing to pick up and run an existing renewal portfolio.
  • Stay up-to-date with PI market conditions and have a strong understanding of the market.
Requirements
  • Strong underwriting skills, with a pragmatic and commercial approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a fast-paced team environment.
  • A drive to deliver high-quality results and a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • A strong understanding of the PI market and its conditions.
