Position Overview

About the Firm

A prominent European Intellectual Property firm is in search of skilled IP Paralegals to enhance their accomplished team in the City of London.

Role Highlights

The selected Paralegals will engage in a dynamic environment, managing Patent and Trade Mark formalities. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented professional. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing design and Trade Mark applications, including filings, reminders, official communications, publications, fee payments, grants, and certified copies.
  • Processing incoming correspondence, both physical and electronic.
  • Assessing and tracking due dates from incoming correspondence and maintaining an organized calendar.
  • Reviewing outgoing correspondence and updating the firm's IP management system accordingly.
  • Creating and entering new case records into the IP management system.
  • Generating and dispatching standard correspondence.
  • Updating the IP management system with relevant filing information.
  • Monitoring critical due dates to ensure Fee Earners are informed of all deadlines.

This Paralegal position is a full-time, permanent role, with a standard workweek of 37.5 hours from Monday to Friday.

Candidate Requirements

  • Familiarity with Inprotech (preferred).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Records or IP department.
  • Strong understanding of EP and UK Patent and Trade Mark processes (mandatory).
  • CIPA Patent Paralegal qualification (preferred).
  • CITMA Trade Mark Administrators qualification (preferred).
