About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Portfolio Analytics Specialist to join our team at Prudential. As a key member of our Portfolio Analysis Group, you will be responsible for providing investment analysis and portfolio management expertise to our European High Yield desk and other internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Investment Analysis: Deliver expert quantitative investment analytics and work with internal stakeholders to provide performance attribution and analytics, monitor portfolio positioning alignment and risk exposures, collect and analyze market data, and model portfolios and custom benchmarks.
  2. Portfolio Management: Integrate client guidelines, objectives, and risk tolerances into our investment process and strategies to ensure complete portfolio management and analytics are in place for our portfolios.
  3. Market Research: Follow developments, views, and themes across the fixed income market and understand how these drive portfolio positioning and performance.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work with peers across mandates to ensure analytics processes and methodologies are applied consistently and efficiently.
  5. Communication: Analyze and effectively communicate monthly and quarterly performance attribution analysis.
  6. Technology: Work with others throughout the organization to ensure that the Portfolio Analysis Group, Portfolio Management teams, and the Risk Management Group have the tools and technology required to effectively manage portfolios.
  7. Benchmarking: Compare and contrast various benchmarks and their risk and positioning profiles, assess appropriate benchmarking for given mandates or clients.
  8. Professional Development: Remain current on all applicable technology related to portfolio analytics, attribution methodologies, modeling methodologies, and risk management tools.
  9. Ad Hoc Projects: Construction of model portfolios based on client or prospect guidelines as well as modeling of impact of cash flows to existing portfolios.
Requirements
  1. Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in Fixed Income Investments and a demonstrated passion for Fixed Income Analytics.
  2. Education: Bachelor's degree with concentration(s) in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred or equivalent experience will be considered.
  3. Certifications: CFA or other applicable master's level work such as Statistics or Quantitative Finance or equivalent experience will be considered.
  4. Skills: Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Strong technology skills and proficiency with Excel, Python, and SQL are highly preferred.
  5. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  6. Adaptability: Willingness to embrace and encourage change and development.
  7. Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking and logic skills.
