Psychiatrist in Learning Disability

We are seeking an experienced Consultant in Psychiatry of Learning Disability to join our team at Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality clinical care to patients with learning disabilities, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
About the Role- Provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with learning disabilities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement service improvements, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of education and training programs for healthcare professionals, promoting best practice in the care of patients with learning disabilities.
- Participate in research and service evaluation, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice in the field of learning disability psychiatry.
- Take an active role in the management of the service, working closely with the Clinical Director and other senior colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of services.

Requirements- MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research, or management.
- CCT in Psychiatry or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry.
- Experience of working with patients with learning disabilities, including those with complex needs.
- Excellent clinical skills, using a bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledge.
- Ability to deliver undergraduate or postgraduate teaching and training.
