About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Winter Maintenance Driver to join our team on a seasonal basis. As a Winter Maintenance Driver, you will be responsible for driving a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle and undertaking the gritting of roads on your allocated route.

Main Responsibilities

  • Drive a Winter Maintenance Gritting Vehicle and undertake the gritting of roads on your allocated route.
  • Be on standby throughout the winter maintenance season, with good time keeping essential.
  • Undertake the associated activities required to deliver the Winter Service, including washing down the vehicle and equipment, fuelling up, and keeping good records.
  • Work in a team to keep the network safe during the Winter season.

Requirements

  • A full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (category C) entitlement and a full CPC is essential.
  • A valid Winter Maintenance qualification is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for suitable applicants.
  • The ability to get to the depot within 1 hour's notice.

Package Description

  • A salary of £16.50 per hour worked on a Zero Hour Contract.
