Unlock Your Potential as a Lead General Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead General Practitioner to join our team at Practice Plus Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical leadership and expert advice on medical and primary care issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical leadership and expert advice on medical and primary care issues
  • Support other GPs and ANPs with peer review and clinical supervision
  • Oversee the induction of new GPs into the local site
  • Identify and implement evidence-based best practices through benchmarking and clinical guidelines
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place for managing results, letters, and tasks
  • Support the development of local operating policies and attend clinical forums
  • Review CVs for potential new GPs and support the recruitment of new GPs into the service

Requirements:

  • MBChB or MBBS qualification and inclusion on the GMC Register
  • RCGP 1 and 2 certification
  • Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
  • Interest in long-term conditions
  • Knowledge and methods of developing clinical quality assurance
  • Ability to build and maintain collaborative partnerships
  • Experience in a prison or high-secure environment is desirable
