Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership to a team of technical architects and engineers, driving technical excellence through mentoring, coaching, and goal setting.
- Create and implement the long-term technology strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and long-term goals.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement of our products.
- Ensure that our applications are developed to a high quality, meet industry standards, and are highly scalable, available, and maintainable.
- Maintain technical expertise and leverage your knowledge to guide and be hands-on with the team in solving problems, providing solutions, and supporting in the development of all applications.
- Be the architecture authority across other departments within and outside the organization, providing direction and decisions on different technical solutions.
- Monitor application spend and assist budget owners to report and optimize costs to keep within department budgets.
- 8+ years' experience as a Technical Architect or Engineering lead within the technology space.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and leading a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience with cloud computing, SaaS, and PaaS technologies.
- Good technical skills, including DevOps tools, principles, and technologies, especially within AWS, and with knowledge around Serverless.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex technology solutions, such as cloud-based systems, microservices, or distributed architectures.
- Experience of defining and building architectural patterns, including microservice architectures, API development, streaming architectures, etc.
- Software engineering experience across the stack, including familiarity with both modern front-end frameworks and backend technologies.
- Experience with agile development methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
- Flexible, hybrid working with our Restaurant Support Centre located in Woking, Surrey.
