About the Role:

Avara Foods is a leading food business in the UK, supplying chicken and turkey to major supermarkets and restaurants. We're looking for a highly competent and motivated Specification Technologist to join our Technical Team at our Brackley site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create specifications for customers, review and approve artwork, and ensure deadlines are met with consistent accuracy.
  • Work with Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications.
  • Collaborate with NPD to integrate with the NPD launch process and ensure successful product launches.
  • Provide internal liaison and support for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers.
Requirements:
  • Food-related Further Education qualification.
  • Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths.
  • Experience of retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to organise workload to achieve key deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and able to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels.
