**About the Role**:
As a Specification Technologist, you will be responsible for creating specifications for a range of customers, reviewing and approving artwork as well as ensuring deadlines are met with consistent accuracy. Working within a team you will build strong working relationships across our customer and colleague base. (6 Month Fixed Term Contract)

**What will you be doing as a Specification Technologist at Avara?**

**What will your key responsibilities as a Specification Technologist include?**
- Complete finished product specifications and approve artwork in accordance with critical paths to facilitate successful product launches
- Work alongside Ingredients and Packaging Specifications Technologist to approve raw material and packaging specifications
- Work closely with NPD to integrate with the NPD launch process to ensure successful product launches
- Internal liaison and support for Site Technical and external liaison for retail customers

**What you’ll need to be successful**:

- Food related Further Education qualification
- Experience of writing food specifications with knowledge of major retailers' online specification systems and critical paths
- Experience of retailer artwork approval systems and in-depth knowledge of the Food Information for Consumers Regulation
- Excellent attention to detail whilst being able to organise workload to achieve key deadlines.
- Self-motivated
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing at all levels
- Food related HND - Desirable
- Food labelling qualification
- Desirable
