Aberdeen, Aberdeen City, United Kingdom DOF Full time

Why consider joining the DOF Subsea Graduate Program?

The DOF Graduate Program is a comprehensive two-year initiative designed to immerse you in various essential departments, enabling you to gain a thorough understanding of the responsibilities of a Subsea Project Engineer. Participants will have the chance to work offshore on our construction vessels, providing firsthand experience in delivering engineering solutions from proposal to execution. The rotation through departments such as Projects, Commercial, QHSE, Survey, Procurement, and Drafting ensures a well-rounded perspective of our operations.

We prioritize early offshore experience, aiming to facilitate your first trip as soon as feasible, allowing you to integrate with the team and understand the dynamics of vessel operations.

While we maintain a structured rotation, we also adapt to leverage your strengths, ensuring a personalized experience. Each graduate is paired with a mentor and supported by our dedicated team, fostering an environment where you can thrive and develop into the next generation of Subsea Engineers. Our selective hiring process allows us to focus on each graduate's needs, aligning our goals with your success.

We seek individuals who are enthusiastic, adaptable, and open to new challenges. Given the collaborative nature of the program, we prefer candidates located in the northeast of Scotland, within reasonable commuting distance of our Aberdeen office. Ideal candidates will demonstrate diligence, proactivity, and conscientiousness. You will receive hands-on training to transition from your academic background in engineering to practical project delivery in subsea engineering, with encouragement to pursue Professional Qualifications, such as engineering chartership.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Naval Architecture, Marine) - alternative qualifications may be considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Strong technical aptitude and interest.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration with colleagues.

As this position is based in Aberdeen, it is essential that applicants either reside within commuting distance or are willing to relocate.
