Wood's Technical Consulting Business Unit is seeking dynamic individuals to join our graduate programme based in Aberdeen from Summer 2025. As a Graduate Subsea / Offshore Energy Transition Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our projects in subsea and onshore energy transportation, including hydrogen, carbon capture, renewable and conventional energies.

The Role

We are looking for high-achieving graduates with a desire to learn and make a difference in the energy transition. The ideal candidates should have a 2:1 Bachelor's or Master's degree in an Engineering field, enjoy problem-solving, and be willing to embrace new ideas. As a graduate engineer, you will work on a range of projects under the guidance of experienced engineers and managers, developing advanced engineering skills and management techniques.

Application Process

  2. Closing date for all applications will be Friday 8th November
  3. We will review applications in November / December
  4. We will then be holding screening calls throughout December with those candidates that fit the criteria below
  5. Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations to assessment centres in January
  6. Assessment centres will take place in January / February depending on location and discipline
Qualifications
  • Graduate engineer with a minimum 2:1 Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field or a Master's degree in Pipelines, Subsea Engineering, Power & Electrical Engineering or other disciplines relating to clean energy, offshore engineering or offshore renewables industries from a recognised university
  • Preference will be given to graduates with previous appropriate industry experience gained before, during or after their university courses
  • Engineers who have undergone undergraduate internship in the area of subsea/pipeline/renewables engineering will have added advantage
  • Demonstrate initiative, resilience and excellent communication skills
  • Possess an ability to learn quickly and be adaptable and flexible to match business requirements
  • Ability to work in multi-disciplinary team environments
  • Must have the right to work in the UK
