Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at 7035 Anord Mardix (UK) Limited. This role will provide excellent experience in the design and development of electrical switchgear and associated products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create Electrical designs of switchboards & associated products ready for Sales / production purposes
  • Liaise with the sales team to understand client specifications and requirements
  • Ensure drawings issued are controlled, accurate and easy to follow
  • Aid Sales to resolve problems with new & existing product designs
  • Liaise with 2D & 3D Designers to ensure library is accurate
  • Utilise AutoCAD to add tags to existing drawings
  • Report to the Central Bids Manager

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a switchgear production environment (electrical) will be considered in lieu of a third level qualification
  • Have a solid understanding of electricity fundamentals and electrical circuit design
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools
  • Have a methodical approach to problem solving
  • Understanding of electrical engineering drawings such as single line diagrams and schematics is advantageous
