This is a key strategic and operational position that requires a strong vision and leadership skills to drive the division's performance and contribute to the Trust's long-term strategy.
Main Responsibilities- Service Delivery and Quality Standards: Ensure excellent performance against key quality standards and targets, and take corrective action when required.
- Contract Activity and Patient Access: Deliver contract activity and patient access standards, including weeks, hours, and Cancer.
- Financial Performance: Achieve financial performance targets, delivering the required income and expenditure plan.
- Senior Staff Performance: Monitor the performance of senior staff within the Division, ensuring the delivery of set objectives and targets, and take appropriate action through development and/or performance management.
- Governance and Patient Safety: Ensure governance is embedded within the Division, and all staff understand their responsibility for service quality and patient safety.
- Business Planning: Develop and implement the Division's business plan and core objectives, ensuring the plans contribute to the delivery of the Trust's primary objectives.
- National Objectives: Ensure that national objectives are met within the Division, particularly those relating to clinical standards and performance objectives set out in the NHS Operating Framework.
