Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the delivery of large, multiple construction packages to agreed safety standards, quality, programme, and budget.
- Makes operational decisions on sequencing methodology while responsible for working with the delivery team to develop detailed and accurate short/mid/long-term plans for successful delivery.
- Works collaboratively with the senior construction delivery team to develop and implement strategies for project delivery.
- Provides technical expertise and support to delivery teams, creating a culture of ownership, promoting roles and responsibilities.
- Supports Managers in leading focused forecast lookahead meetings, providing authority and guidance where required.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
- Supports the senior construction delivery team in influencing the long-term development of strategy for a function or Business Unit (BU), creating a sustainable business future.
- Commit to making a positive impact for our people, our clients, and our planet, and take ownership for holding others to account who do not uphold the Mace values.
Requirements:
- Detailed knowledge of construction methodology, process, and inherent safety involved.
- Detailed knowledge of digital platforms and how to implement onsite.
- Planning and budget management experience.
- SMSTS and managerial/professional CSCS card (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) (Construction Skills Certificate Scheme).
Desirable Skills:
- Good understanding of programme, critical path, and commissioning strategy.
- External, recognised accreditation (CIOB etc) (Chartered Institute of Building).
- Excellent time management.
- Aware of own workstyle and commits to professional feedback and personal development.
- CSCS card.
- Recognised construction training/qualification (or equivalent).
- Membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
- Construction management expertise.
- Developing commercial and financial acumen.
- Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
- Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
