About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional Product Development Manager to join our team at Saffron Building Society. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and launch of new products, ensuring they meet the complex needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the product development strategy, aligning with the Society's overall business objectives.
  • Product Development: Own and manage the product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Change, IT, Risk, Retail, Business Development, and Marketing, to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to identify customer needs, assess business opportunities, and design solutions that meet regulatory and economic requirements.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring timely completion.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sourcing systems and data insight providers.
  • Commercial Analysis: Prepare and present comprehensive business cases to support product launches and lending policy enhancements.
  • Operational Evaluation: Ensure all new products meet operational requirements, including accurate product information and effective problem resolution.
Requirements
  • Mortgage Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the mortgage market, including lending practice and risk considerations.
  • Commercial Awareness: Ability to quantify commercial benefits and develop business cases.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate.
  • Data Analysis: Ability to analyze numerical data and identify trends.
