Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Property Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, and tiling. You will work independently, using your own initiative to assess and resolve maintenance issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plumbing and Carpentry
    • Fitting bathroom suites, changing taps, and repairing toilets
    • Finding and tracing leaks
    • Patching and boarding to repair leak damage
    • Installing bathroom cladding
    • Fitting doors, stud work, floor joists, and floorboards
  • Tiling and Grouting
    • Basic tiling and grouting
  • Van Stock Management
    • Sourcing and installing parts
    • Managing van stock for future jobs
  • Locks and Doors
    • Repairing locks, doors, windows, and converting euro locks
  • Heating and Drainage
    • Attending to heating issues
    • Relaying helpful information to further engineers
    • Simple drainage issues (specialist subcontractors used if appropriate)

Requirements

  • Proficiency in various carpentry and joinery techniques
  • Plastering - competent in patching plaster
  • Up-to-date relevant industry-related knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Ability to quickly assess the most efficient way to carry out work while maintaining high standards
  • Be able to read and write English to a high standard
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Be a good team member

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in the property maintenance industry
  • Proven experience as a multi-trade or in a similar role within housing repair and maintenance
