Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to join our team at Colchester Land Rover. As a key member of our Aftersales Department, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, ensuring our service and repair technicians achieve their daily targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and motivate our team of technicians and apprentices, proactively reviewing and prioritizing the daily workload.
  • Ensure all working practices comply with company, DVSA, health and safety, and OEM policy.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by implementing relevant quality checks.
  • Liaise with colleagues and other departments to ensure a top-quality service for customers.
  • Schedule work to meet customer needs, taking into account workshop targets, job complexity, and part availability.
  • Assist with technical challenges and write technical reports.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with motor industry experience managing a team in a busy service/workshop environment. You will have a minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) and a solid understanding of COSHH legislation, trade practices, and consumer legislation.

A friendly, confident, and enthusiastic attitude is essential, with the ability to work as part of a team. A full valid UK driving license is also required.
