Job Description

Job Title: Structural Repair Engineer - Stress Specialist

Location: Remote (with occasional travel)

Experience: 6 to 12 years

Aerospace Domain: Structural Repair and Stress Analysis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement high-quality integrated and certified engineering solutions for aircraft structural repairs.
  • Conduct calculations to assess design solutions using standard hand and methods, and create, compile, and coordinate engineering documentation to achieve valid technical data for repair.
  • Liaise with design and other departments to develop optimum design solutions for airliner customers.
  • Collaborate with principal and senior stress engineers to ensure methods, assumptions, data, and procedures reflect ongoing developments.
  • Ensure, with relevant technical signature delegations, that the final repair solution brings the aircraft back into an airworthy condition.
  • Identify and support local improvement initiatives to increase team efficiency through process, method, and tools improvements, ensuring alignment with respective focal points.
  • Ensure all tasks and activities required for repair engineering are correctly planned, monitored, and executed to achieve customer time scales.
  • Provide responses for routine queries, giving advice and guidance as required, and support customer services on repair matters.
  • Participate in an integrated engineering team, ensuring its strategy, policy, and direction are maintained.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in performing stress justification of aircraft repair solutions.
  • Knowledge of aircraft static stress and fatigue stress manuals and tools.
