Job Title: Senior Business Analyst

Scottish Fire & Rescue Service is seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Analyst to join their Portfolio Office team. As a key member of the team, you will play a critical role in driving strategic change and transformation initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business analysis techniques to guide organizational change and improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize business needs
  • Design and implement effective solutions to drive business value and improve operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain a standard set of techniques and templates for business analysis and solution design
  • Embed best practices in business analysis and solution design to ensure user-centered approaches

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience using business analysis techniques, such as SSADM and process mapping
  • Excellent written communication skills and ability to produce robust project documentation
  • Experience working across the entire solutions delivery lifecycle
  • Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis or basic financial analysis techniques

Desirable Skills:

  • UML and POPIT modeling
  • Understanding of operating models
  • Prince2 Practitioner or Agile PM Practitioner
