About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer to join our team at MTrec Recruitment. As a key member of our engineering and manufacturing client's team, you will be responsible for coordinating field-based installation and commissioning activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate third-party resources during the installation and commissioning phase to ensure that skill levels match the requirements of the task.
  • Develop and implement commissioning procedures and best practices to streamline the installation and commissioning phase of projects.
  • Develop and implement processes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the installation and commissioning phase.
  • Assist and coordinate with management to improve installation and commissioning lead times.
  • Prepare RAMS for site-based installation and commissioning activities.
  • Undertake site surveys to ensure that projects are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Support customers in resolving any issues that arise during the installation and commissioning phase.
  • Work closely with the installation and commissioning engineers to ensure that field challenges are documented and feedback is provided to engineering.
  • Understand the PLC programs used in company systems to help troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  • Provide support to the regional aftermarket lead and proposals team when preparing bids for installation and commissioning.
  • Build and establish good working relationships with customers to facilitate improved customer retention.
  • Ensure compliance with all general and company policies when carrying out job duties.
About You

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer who has a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering. You will have a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and to the highest standard, and will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills.

You will have a strong understanding of PLC software, including Siemens, and will be able to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently. You will also have excellent organizational and time management skills, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
