About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at IMI Norgren. As a key member of our Industrial Automation Division, you will be responsible for designing and developing new products for our industrial controls market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conceptualize and develop new products through our internal NPD business process
  • Design industrial control components and assemblies, generating 3D CAD models and 2D part/assembly drawings
  • Write technical reports and design calculations
  • Apply advanced simulation techniques and create DFMEAs
  • Design and manage Design Verification Plans
  • Deliver technical presentations to customers and generate intellectual property
  • Participate in cross-disciplinary project teams and support project managers with reporting
  • Travel domestically and internationally to support customer meetings and supplier visits
Requirements
  • Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Diploma in Computer-Aided Design and experience with CAE tools (such as FEA/CFD/Moldflow)
  • 3-5 years of component design experience with a good understanding of industrial control components
  • History of designing and developing new products for various sectors and industries
  • Experience in mechatronics and integration of electronic components
  • Sound understanding of fundamental engineering principles
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity
  • Extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate organizational skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
