About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Ward Clerk to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide administrative support to the Ward Manager and contribute to the smooth operation of our Hyper-Acute Stroke Unit.

Main Responsibilities

  • Update and review patient files, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
  • Make referrals and appointments, communicating effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Report issues to relevant corporate teams, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining a high level of patient care
  • Perform general office tasks, including printing, filing, and laminating, to maintain a well-organized workspace
  • Welcoming visitors to the unit and providing general information and support
