About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Highway Engineer to work on a diverse range of highway design and drainage projects. You will be responsible for leading and managing projects, providing technical guidance and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage highway design and drainage projects from conception to completion
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and project teams
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards
  • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects successfully
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, project management, and project delivery
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of experience working in a UK consultancy, particularly in highway and drainage design
  • Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • A solid understanding of highway design standards and guidelines, including DMRB and local authority guidelines
  • Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to manage a portfolio of projects
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with design teams, clients, and contractors
