Thursby Surgery is a dynamic and innovative healthcare provider seeking a highly skilled and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our team. As a Medical Receptionist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the practice team, including answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing patient records.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the reception area, including managing patient flow, handling patient queries, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Process patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments as needed.
- Manage patient communication, including sending reminders, notifications, and other important information to patients.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical history, contact information, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, including responding to their queries, concerns, and feedback.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of practice policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Good standard of general education, including GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade C and above).
- Practical experience of working with others and with the general public or patients in a customer care role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with patients, staff, and external agencies.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to work flexibly, including working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
